Case IH Heavy-Offset 790 All-purpose, Folding

Features
HEAVY-OFFSET DISK HARROWS
Unmatched Ruggedness, Dependability and Performance
Case IH Heavy-Offset 790 disk harrows are engineered to provide consistent performance over years of use. Featuring durability-enhancing design, adjustibility to fit varying conditions and self-sharpening Earth Metal® blades.
FRAME
Designed for Durability
The Case IH Heavy-Offset disk harrows is designed to handle even the toughest conditions. Built with welded steel tubing, nodular iron spools, high-capacity bearings and a self leveling hitch.
Nodular Iron Spools
Unlike steel-fabricated spools on other brands, Case IH cast nodular iron spools:
- Resist compression up to 20 tons without loosening blades
- Add greater blade support with bell-shaped design
- Provide better residue flow with hourglass middle
High Capacity Bearings
Flangent and Cushion Gang® bearings feature:
- Finely ground inner rings
- Heavy steel sleeves that distribute shock loads along the arbor bolt Regreasable for extended life
- Triple sealed to repel debris and moisture
Self-Leveling Hitch
- Exclusive to the Heavy-Offset 790 disk harrows
- Keeps gangs working at uniform depth from front to rear
- Transfers weight between tractor and disk
- Allows even soil penetration on hills
- Spring-cushioned hitch helps ease blades over obstructions
- Convenient dial centers disk behind tractor and minimizes draft
- Adjusts by simply pulling pin and repositioning hitch
EARTH METAL® BLADES
Earth Metal® Blades for Exceptional Endurance
All Case IH Heavy-Offset 790 disk harrows are equipped with Earth Metal blades. Uniquely formed and heat treated, Earth Metal blades offer exceptional endurance and break resistance for longer equipment life. The notched blades aggressively cut residue and vegetation with excellent cut uniformity. Earth metal blades:
- Resharpen as they are used, improving performance over time
- Are 30% stronger and last uo to 20% longer than conventional blades
- Resist stress fractures
- Feature shallow-concavity design for easier pulling and better fuel economy
ADJUSTMENTS
Simple Setup and Adjustment
Adjusting the various settings on the Heavy-Offset 790 is easy, allowing you to respond to varying soil conditions and spend more time in the field.
Easy Gang Adjustments
- Gang angle: Adjustable from 34 – 46 degrees; Adjusts without tools
- Rear gangs: Adjust laterally to changing field conditions; Line up with front gang furrows as desired
- Easy-turning crank; Fine-tunes front-to-rear leveling
Mechanical Depth Control
- Provides accurate, repeatable depth
- Pin-type adjustment
- Makes depth control convenient, quick and reliable
- Eliminates risk of hydraulic leakage affecting disk depths
- Repeatable accuracy
Options For Varied Conditions
All Heavy-Offset 790 disk harrows come with the following options:
- Furrow fillers for smooth soil surface and to allow for uniform chemical incorporation
- 31x31.5;15 terra rib tires provide additional flotation
- Rear hitch to attach Crumbler® 160 or other soil conditioner
Other Adjustments
- Easy-to-adjust leveling turnbuckle; optional hydraulic leveling
- One-step lateral pin adjustment for tongue placement maintains draft compliance
- Transport lock U-channels and rear chain attaching points
CRUMBLER® 160 SEEDBED CONDITIONER
Efficient Seedbed Preparation
The Case IH Crumbler® allows for one pass tillage and seedbed preparation. The Crumbler breaks up clods, knocks soil off roots and smoothes soil after primary tillage.
Proven Performance
The Crumbler® saves time, fuel and tractor engine hours; and promotes higher yields by creating more ideal seedbed conditions. Performance research shows that the Crumbler 160 works in the fall to provide high-quality seedbed conditions by:
- Reducing clod size by up to 46%
- Creating smoother valleys by up to 45%
- Improving fall seedbed levelness by up to 55%
- Reducing air pockets in tilled soil
- The Crumbler® 160 consistently exerts approximately 160 lbs/ft (240 kg/m) of ground pressure.
Heavy-Duty Construction
The Crumbler® 160 is constructed with rough terrain and varied soil conditions in mind.
- Mainframe and wings constructed of 6 x 4 in (152 x 102 mm) steel tubing
- 16 in (41 cm) diameter reels with 10 1 in. (25 mm) diameter solid bars
- 3,000 psi (211 kg/cu cm) hydraulic cylinders and hoses with ISO couplers
- 9.5L x 15 eight-ply, tubeless-rim implement tires
- Replaceable hubs and spindles
- Large, heavy bearings
- Rigidly mounted reels
- Available in 15, 17.5, 20, 22.5 and 25 ft (4.6, 5.3, 6.1, 6.9 and 7.6 m) widths. The four larger models fold to a narrow 13.5 ft (4.1 m) transfer width.
Unique Features
Other unique features of the Crumbler® 160 include:
- A pull frame with telescoping tongue that easily attaches to the rear hitch on primary tillage machines
- Warning and tail lights
- An SMV emblem
- A safety chain
- A parking stand
