  • hydraulic calibration; and,
  • fan options to match application requirements.

CONTROL & MONITORING

  • The X40 Apollo System Achieve unprecedented control of up to 6 products, as well as perform advanced seeding operations with the X40 Apollo System.
  • The ISO Apollo System Calibrate and perform basic rate control functions for up to 4 products with tractors equipped with universal terminals.

QUICK & EFFECTIVE PRODUCT TRANSFER
Whether you're using the Load/Unload Augers, the BagLift™ Product Transfer System, or the FillChute™; 8000 Series Air Carts have many options for easily and effectively transferring product.

  • Load product quickly using the Load/Unload Auger;
  • Lift bagged product effectively, and, at the same time, save your back from strain with the BagLift™ Product Transfer System;
  • The FillChute™ is an option for units equipped with the Saddle Tank™.

SAFETY & CONVENIENCE
From the EZ™ Air Cart Hitch, to the rear-view camera and LED exterior tank lights, the 8000 Series allows you to work efficiently and safely.

  • Safety catches on the tank lids prevent lid strikes if the Operator inadvertently opens the tank when pressurized.
  • Get "close enough" when pinning the air cart to the seeding implement with the EZ™ Air Cart Hitch.
  • Increase rear visibility with the optional rear-view camera.
  • Improve in-tank and exterior illumination with optional LED Lights.

TIRE OPTIONS

  • Many tire options are available, with one that will suit your situation, ensuring minimal compaction, even with full tanks! Refer to the Specifications Page for tire options.
  • To accommodate controlled traffic farming, an optional 3 meter front axle on the trailing air carts and high capacity rear single tire options are available.

FAN HYDRAULIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Hydraulic flow requirements are dependent on the type of air cart fan selected.
  • Minimum operating pressure of 2,500 psi.
  • Recommended operating pressure of 2,500 psi.

Air Cart Fan Recommendations
When determining the fan option that will best suit your requirements, consider:

  • drill size and spacing;
  • typical seeding speed and expected maximum product rates;
  • hydraulic requirements of the air drill paired with the air cart;
  • hydraulic capacity of the tractor.

The High-Speed Fan is equipped with a 12 cc hydraulic motor that is able to achieve up to 6,000 rpm. To achieve maximum performance and reduce possible coupler failures, ¾" hydraulic couplers are required.

Fan Configuration Minimum (gpm) Recommended (gpm)
Single, Regular 9 13
Single, High-Speed* 15 20
Dual, Regular 18 26
Single, Regular/Single, High-Speed* 24 33
Dual, High-Speed* 30 40

* max 6,000 rpm

Recommended Hydraulic Flow Requirements
When operating independent seed drills, hydraulic flow requirements are highest when turning in the headlands. The recommended flow listed in the chart above allows the seeding system to be raised and lowered within two headlands. It should be noted that the recommended fan requirements are for the maximum operational speed (rpm) of the fan.

Minimum Hydraulic Flow Requirements
If the recommended values cannot be achieved, minimum flow will provide adequate performance in most instances. If the hydraulic flow is less than the recommended, the fans may slow down and the openers may lift slowly in the headlands. This may result in the requirement for three headlands. In typical operating conditions, one, or both fans are operating at less than maximum output levels, which will reduce hydraulic requirements.

Regardless of fan selection, the use of 3/4" hydraulic couplers will maximize fan performance. Avoid costly performance reductions by minimizing oil flow restrictions across the entire system.

Hydraulic Pressure Drop Off
With many tractors, maximum hydraulic flow drops off sharply prior to maximum operating pressure. By setting the tractor pressure just below maximum psi, sudden drop off of hydraulic flow should be avoided.

Hydraulic Recommendations for Air Drills
It is important to consider the hydraulic requirements of both the drill and air cart to ensure your tractor's hydraulics are up to the task.
